HTC Sensation 4G is now official and as expected it is almost similar with HTC EVO 3D except two things. Firstly, it’s not 3D and secondly, it has a better camera at the back. On the other hand it has a 4.3 inches Super LCD display which is similar to the EVO 3D besides the same 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor and the same version of Android, Android 2.3 Gingerbread. This smartphone also includes the newest version of HTC’s Android customization called Sense 3.0. This version of Sense has some new features and tweaks which makes it more user-friendly and effective.
Talking of specs, HTC Sensation is top of its kind; The back camera of this phone has 8 megapixels and is capable of capturing HD videos at 1080p resolution with 30fps. The camera also includes a dual LED flash unlike the EVO 3D. This device supports HSPA+ which gives you the capability of downloading at 14.4 Mbps speed. The internal storage of this phone has 1 GB which is not bad if you don’t want to use too many apps which does not support installation to SD cards. 768 MB RAM supports the powerful processor which does a nice job and can easily handle most of the memory hungry apps. The connectivity options are complete and up to date with Bluetooth 3.0, FTP/OPP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and DLNA connectivity which can stream your media files wirelessly to DLNA supported devices.
HTC Sensation 4G has a 1520 mAh battery to handle the powerful processor and big display which gives a talk time of around 400 minutes and standby time of around 400 hours. To extend the memory you can use the microSD card slot which also supports SD 2.0 cards. The screen is scratch resistant as it comes with Gorilla Glass protection which also makes it look better. The aluminum back is beautiful and it gives a solid feel especially when you hold it in a single hand.
The new version of Sense comes with some really new features and one of these is called Watch. It is a movie service from HTC which offers on demand HD movies from their collection of more than 600 movies. There is one bad side of these movies too because most of the users might prefer watching movies on bigger screens. But the DRM on the movies does not allow you to watch those HD movies on any bigger screen other than the 4.3 inches qHD display as both DLNA and HDMI cannot be used for watching these movies. The new UI makes a good utilization of the big 4.3 inches display and another big change of this UI is the capability of using the lock screen. Unlike the other Android phones on Sensation you can insert a number of widgets in the lock screen so that you can get your required updates, like social networking notifications, weather updates etc., even without unlocking the screen.
HTC Sensation seems to be like a perfect phone, unless you have complains about the 1520 mAh battery or 1 GB of internal memory, which are not suitable for such a high end phone. We expect this new HTC “Sensation” phone to hit the market later in May and unfortunatelly we don’t have any news about the price.
