Inside T-Mobile G1

t-mobile-g1It’s been released in 2008 and it’s been included by Times Magazin into the Best Gadgets of 2008 list. I just want to know why so I will try to do my best reviewing it.

Let’s start this review saying that G1 comes with Android(Google) software and doesn’t need more explanations as it developed together with companies such as: Asus, HTC, LG, Garmin, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba.

So, the display is an TFT touchscreen one with 65k colors and a resolution of 320×480, perfect to touch, swipe the phone and explore it’s various applications. You slide the phone horizontally and you will discover a QWERTY keyboard, just in case you want to write e-mails or navigate through the internet easier.

T-Mobile G1 has a list of interesting applications:

-Google Search bar to search through Web or applications from the phone; this feature can be activated even by voice.

-Real WebBrowsing; G1 has a system that let’s you access the web page with the QWERTY keyboard and the trackball.

-Google Applications:Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Calendar, Google Talk.

-PicSay, application that will let you edit/customize your favorite pictures.

ShopSavvy will help you making your shopping online.

The integrated camera is an 3.2 megapixel one with autofocus and the internal memory has 192 Mb, but can be extended with a microSD card.

It comes as we said with an operating system from Google called Android and features on a Qualcomm MSM 7201A 528 MHz processor.

Connectivity of this gadget is quite impressive offering HSDPA 7.2Mpbs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.00 and microUSB. Also you have GPS as we mention before with software from Google. Also the phone comes with an Li-Ion 1150 mAh battery that holds up to 406 h in stand-by mode and up to 5 h 20 min in talk time one.

As final words, I can complete and say the phone/gadget is very hot in my opinion, offering basic features that all want these days.
