The wait is over! WHY? Nokia N900 is almost in our hands this days, so we couldn’t stay and not talk about this new tablet/smartphone.
Till now the tablet releases offered by Nokia weren’t so shiny as we expected, but with the announcement of N900 model everything changes for good.
The new device come with an 3.5″ touchscreen display and a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. On the back is an 5 megapixel camera equipped with Carl Zeiss lens and also capable of recording 16:9 video on a resolution of up to 848×480 pixels@25fps.
Connectivity options announced till now: GPS, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Tv-out. Phone brain is an ARM Cortex-A8 CPU(500 or 600 Mhz) that offers graphic acceleration and 256 Mb RAM. His running OS is Linux’s Maemo 5 one, so included applications such as Youtube, Firefox 3(with Adobe Flash 9.4 support), Google Talk, Mauku, Ovi Maps won’t have any problem running smooth. Also it features a sliding QWERTY keyboard just in case you get bored by the touchscreen one 🙂
The phone has an internal memory of 32GB, but can be extended through microSD up to 48 GB.
We expect to see this “wonder phone” in stores all over the world in Octomber 2009 with an estimated price near 500 euros.
I am impressed by the look and features offered by this phone. It has all basic features like GPS, Bluetooth, Camera, Wi-Fi etc. Performance-wise too, it seems to be good.
Yes, indeed, it seems to challenge the N97 model, having great performances and special design as Nokia use to surprise us.
