We return today to present you a new model released by Lg Electronics, BL40. This model is the forth release from the Black Label Series and features a huge screen of 4 inches.
When we first look at it, we think this is a remote control coming right from our apartments and meant to make our life easier. The very long shape remembers us the old “Chocolate” model design. Having 12.8 cm long and 128grams it will be very hard to keep it fit inside our pockets.
The huge 4 inches display has a resolution of 345 x 800 pixels and supports accelerometer sensor, S-Class Touch UI, proximity sensor for auto turn-off and gesture controls.
The TFT scratch resistant touchscreen supports 16 M colors and is perfect if you intend to watch movies, as it supports a ratio of 21:9. On the top of the phone you will find the 3.5 mm audio jack and the Lock/Power key, while on the button is just a hole made for the mic. The volume rockers buttons and the shutter one are situated on the right side covered in silver strip and the microUSB + Call History button will be on the left side.On the back we will discover the 5 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, autofocus and LED flash. Videos are shoot in mp4 format at 30fps . Near the camera objective is another mic device ready to help the video recording.
Phone comes with 1.1 Gb internal memory(+microSD support) and a large ways of connectivity: GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB.
Other BL40 features or apps: Tv-out, FM radio and transmitter, Dolby Mobile support, 3D image gallery, Document Viewer, Organiser. The battery is a standard Li-Ion one with 1000 mAh and will keep the phone online up to 400 h in stand by mode or 6h in talk time.
The new “Chocolate”, BL40 from LG will be released this month on Europe and from Octomber in the rest of the world.
This cell phone is for people who are crazy behind good looking stunning phones. The camera features are average. I like the The wipeability feature. The call quality is quiet satisfying. The most disappointing thing is the low battery life.
The phone is interesting, but I think is too much for us. A bigger screen involves a bigger phone so it will not look nice in our pockets. A smaller version could have more success.
