It’s been announced by Nokia in 2008, but it’ll be release soon next weeks. Nokia N97 promises to be almost good as N95 or N86 models.
As we expect Nokia included in this version all that we want to find in a smartphone, a gadget or a simple mobile phone.
I don’t know if the phone seems big or small in the left photo, but I surely say that it has the following dimensions: 117.2 x 55.3 and 15.9 mm thickness. It weights just 150 grams, heavier I dare to say, but is a smartphone, isn’t it !?
His display is a TFT resistive one with 16M colors and a size of 3.5 inches. The touchscreen display contain various features such as: proximity sensor for auto turn-off, accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, virtual QWERTY keyboard, handwriting recognition.
The camera is an 5 megapixel with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash, video light and capable of shooting videos @30 frames per second.
N97 is a smartphone model so as we expected is equipped with an impressive processor, ARM 11 434 Mhz and runs Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5 as operating system.
You don’t have to make problems with the memory with N97: it has 32GB internal memory and supports microSD cards up to 16 GB.
Talking about connectivity we find out same as we were used to: Gprs, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.00, microUSB and Gps(Nokia Maps).
I forgot to say about the sliding QWERTY keyboard that has a unique design and an easier typing comparing with other mobile phones devices. When you slide the keyboard, the phone automatically unlocks/locks it’s self.
Other interesting features/applications included in this smartphone are: digital compass, voice command/dial, pocket office, video and photo editor, flash lite 3.
Nokia N97 has a standard battery, Li-Ion 1500 mAh (BP-4L) one which lasts: 432 hours in stand by, 10hours in talk time or 40hours in music play mode.
Don’t forget the phone is expected to hit our stores next weeks and it’s rumored to have an estimative price near 700$.
