Mozilla FirefoxMozilla is one of many companies that are staunchly on the side of Net Neutrality. But they are the ones who have come up with a rather interesting way to attempt to uphold it.

According to their official blog, Mozilla has filed an official petition with the FCC to change how the relationships between ISPs and consumers, and ISP and content providers, are classified.

If the FCC chose to take Mozilla up on their advice, there would be two relationships cited. The first is that between the consumer and ISPs, which companies like Comcast/XFinity are currently using to dictate how they provide data. The second would create another legal requirement, however. ISPs and content providers would be in a separate relationship category, labeled under “transport”.

Firefox OS Smartphones are coming to life

Mozilla FirefoxMozilla, one of the most popular browser developers on the web, is set to launch its own operating system under their Firefox flagship.

Given the way mobile phones have been moving ever more towards a web-based format, it was only a matter of time before this happened. Rather than seeing an integration with a compatible browser (such as Google using their Chrome browser on their Android OS), this cuts out the middle man. The OS will be based entirely around the mobile web, and it will have one major benefit: price.

Firefox has always been an open source project that has welcomed third party developers to create addons.

CISPA could reinstate terror among U.S. citizens

CISPASOPA has already been forgotten, though it was the last threat against your privacy, launched by the government against the American people. In November they launched another assault, called the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act. At the last minute an amendment was added that expanded the powers far beyond cyber protection. But then again, the crooks in Washington are always perpetrating such abuses on the American people.

CISPA paves the way for the U.S. government and private business to cooperate on security threats, as well as on suspicions of child pornography. It shields private companies from law suits for sharing clients’ private information and correspondence, with the U.S. government, when it is for the sake of national security or on suspicion of child pornography.

Mozilla FirefoxMany of you are familiar with Mozilla’s famous Firefox. For you Firefox users, you are probably familiar with the newly released Firefox version 7. The updated version was released not too long after the sixth installment of Firefox. It appears Mozilla started updating their Internet browser quite frequently since Firefox 4, following the trend of other Browsers.

When is the eighth version releasing you might ask? Well, funny enough, the beta for the eight version of Firefox was already released (only a few days after the current version was released).

Firefox 8, so far, has a few minor adjustments to the tab system. The interface remains the same from its predecessors; however the new browser itself comes with a few tweaks that many of its users may enjoy, including faster startup times and more efficient tabs.

Mozilla’s Firefox 4 new Features and Improvements

Firefox 4 At the end of the last month Mozilla just came out with their latest browser version of Firefox-4 and brought again in discussions the never ending war of Internet Browsers. A few days back we all have seen how the download counter of Mozilla website was running with an insane speed. But still that is not enough as the actual percentage of market share of Firefox is going down to the speed and simplicity of Google Chrome and the aggressive marketing and new features of Internet Explorer 9. Being a new competitor in the market-Google Chrome is catching up Firefox very fast and to stop it they brought a huge change in the last version of their famous browser.

The first thing on the list of changes in the Firefox 4 will have to be its UI and the chrome-ish look. Similar to the most of the competitors, Firefox has also changed their browser appearance and kept the tabs on top of their browser window instead of the menu bar.

IE vs MozillaMicrosoft wants again to win a battle against Mozilla Firefox and it seems Internet Explorer 9 is set to go. The announcement has been made during MIX 2010 which take place at Las Vegas during 15 and 17 of March.

Internet Explorer is one of the browsers that we all had to use some day when we didn’t knew we had another alternative to browse the Internet. In modern days IE browser is used just to browse towards Mozilla site and get Firefox browser. Statistics say that, we don’t. 🙂

At the beginning Microsoft didn’t understood Firefox success, but lately Bill Gates boys seemed to use their brains a little more and find a solution. Internet Explorer 9 uses some of Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome secrets. How cool is that? Is not, really.
