Apple TV and Siri Remote Apple TV has been out for a while, and it hasn’t done much for users. It’s never been the best device and when compared to the usual Apple fare it feels cheap and underdone. Following the Apple announcement of its new range, Apple TV looks set to have a new life. The vision of Apple is that apps are the future of television, and the Apple TV is set to bring its range of apps on to in home screens. The remote is also updated and features Siri for voice searching across your various content providers.

The chip inside Apple TV is the A8, and this runs the new tvOS. The tvOS is based on Apple’s iOS, and developers will be able to create apps for this device that will enhance the viewing experience televisions are capable of. New games and apps will come through the Apple TV App Store on the television for users to browse and download. For developers, Apple is releasing a tvOS SDK with tools and APIs to give them the ability to create new ways to watch programs and be entertained by television.

Apple TVThe latest Apple TV might not be enough of an advancement to suck yet another $99 from your wallet, but after reading our review you might still want to lay down the dough for another trophy on your entertainment stack. It is unclear what Apple is thinking in the long-term vision of TV media, but it is clear that they are making a stab at it.

The latest iteration of Apple TV includes a few long awaited changes. First off, there is the new ui, followed by the latest, greatest A5 SoC. The one change that has come a bit too late is the streaming ability of iTunes movies, and especially the 1080p iTunes and Netflix streaming.

The physical externals are identical to the last Apple TV. Why change a good thing? This little baby will fit inside your pocket and anywhere else you want to put it. It is elegant in appearance, sporting a simple Apple logo and single blinking light.

The new Apple TV box features Wi-Fi and A4 processor

Apple TVApple have just announced a new version of their TV box wonder. This new version is smaller than the previous ones and is capable of playing 720p formats on TV. We will spend some time today to analyze this little box and see the official features published by Apple.

The design of Apple TV is simple:  a black square box with round corners that measures 98 mm x 98 mm and has 23 mm thickness. It is also very light, weighting almost 300 grams and very fast because it’s equipped with A4 Apple processor(1Ghz), the same that you will find on latest iPhone, iPod Touch or iPod Nano.

This little box connects to high-definition TVs through HDMI port and is capable of playing 720p videos(various formats), audio and photo formats. Apple claims that his TV box will be supported by: Hitachi, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, NEC, Panasonic, Philips, Pioneer, Samsung, Sony, Sharp, Toshiba, Vizio, Westinghouse.
