What happens the end users help to design a 2 in 1 tablet? The Eve V (Pronounced Eve Vee) was designed in an open online community to deliver a device that is what the users want. And the Eve V has the specs to match Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 without the price tag.
Eve V Specs
The specs are as follows: The CPU is the Intel 7th Gen Core m3-7Y 30/i5-7Y54/i7-7Y75 with either 8GB or 16GN LPDDR3 RAM; Internal storage is 128GB, 256GB or 512GB; The display is a 12.3 inch IGZO LCD with 2736×1824 resolution and 1:400 contrast ratio with 450 nits brightness; The screen is Corning Gorilla Glass with an anti-reflection coating; The battery is 48Wh with 12 hour life span; audio is four quad speakers, audio amplifier by TI tpa6133 and 2 noise cancelling microphones; there is a 2MP front and 5MP back cameras; the keyboard is wired and wireless with backlighting and glass covered precision touchpad by Synaptics; The V Pen works with Windows Ink and has 1024 pressure levels.
USB ports are the bane of some user’s existence. There’s never enough, or there’s the wrong one. The Eve V comes with two full sized USB 3.0 ports and a USB-C 3.0 port. A microSDXC port is found under the kickstand. A Thunderbolt 3 port, with speeds of up to 40GB a second allows you to transfer data and chain connect multiple devices in 4K.

To get the Eve V working its best, Eve Tech (The ones behind the device) worked with Microsoft and Intel. The device uses Windows 10 as the operating system, and Microsoft were more than happy to help.
According to WK Tan, Corporate Vice President of Intel Corporation, ‘Intel is supporting this Eve-Tech project because we see the potential for success for the crowd-development approach they are taking. Intel is excited to see such a well-designed premium device, based on Intel 7th Gen Core Processors, coming to market soon.’
