Motorola Backflip uses MotoBlur to enhance social

Motorola Backflip MotoBlurIt has been a long time since we saw a Motorola device on our site. Backflip is the name of the model that we will analyze today and we promise that this will be an interesting one(especially for social network addicts).

Motorola has manged to enhance on this model a new feature called MotoBlur. As they say, MotoBlur is a new feature that “automatically delivers your messages, posts, tweets, pics and contacts directly to you without having to open multiple apps”. To deliver the best social results, a reverse flip QWERTY keyboard has been added behind the screen.

As we observe in the picture, the new phone has 3.1-inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display and 256K colors.

Sliding the phone to the left side will unveil the QWERTY backflip keyboard, which is divided in 4-rows and include also a 5 megapixel camera device(with autofocus and LED flash). Above the keyboard is the 3.5 mm and the on/off power button, while the camera shutter key is on right side(when the keyboard is not unfolded). Under the back case is a 1400 mAh Li Ion battery that will provide up to 315 hrs in standby mode.

Backflip comes with Android 1.5 and can be updated to 2.1 version according to Motorola. Despite the enhance of the social networks, the MotoBlur user interface also features photo sharing(Picasa, Photobucket, MySpace, Facebook).

The phone has the more than enough connectivity features: 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, microUSB. Gps is available through A-Gps support and the following applications can help you if you plan to use it: Google Maps, Google Latitude, Google Maps Street View, eCompass, AT&T Navigator, AT&T Maps. Other apps can be downloaded from the Android Market.

Phone will be available worldwide from March 2010 at an estimated price of $350 and each unit will ship with a 2Gb microSD card.
