Samsung captured our view today with the new smartphone called M8910 Pixon12. Rather a camera than a phone, this new mobile shoot pictures and movies through a 12 Megapixel camera.
The display, an AMOLED resistive touchscreen has 16 M colors and support a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels having 3.1 inches. This screen is capable of 10000:1 contrast.
Right at the back of the phone it’s integrated the 12 Megapixel camera. The impressive camera have a lot of features: 28mm wide lens, autofocus, xenon flash, Power LED flash, geo-tagging, smile and blink detection, wide dynamic range, Smart Auto mode, image stabilization, Beauty Shot. Videos are shoot at a resolution of 720×480 and 30fps or QVGA@120fps.
Connectivity options available are: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, standard microUSB port, GPS receiver with A-GPS. Pixon12 comes with 150Mb internal memory, but you can expand it further up to 16GB through microSD card.
The phone looks nice and round having 108 x 53 and 13.8 mm thickness and just 120 grams. Also expected in S8000 model, the TouchWiz UI 2.0 interface is also used on M8910 Pixon12 one. Other interesting features we had found: the accelerometer, FM radio with RDS, DivX/XviD video support.
Samsung is expected to release this model from this June all over Europe and than in August worldwide with an estimated price of 639 euro.
