What to expect from Microsoft Build 2013 Conference

Microsoft Build Conference 2013Last year Microsoft’s Build 2012 Conference led to the announcement of the Surface tablets and details about their new Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. With Build 2013 coming, rumors are swirling like crazy about what might be on the horizon.

While we can’t know for sure what they are going to talk about, we can at least speculate…and look at what news on Microsoft has leaked lately.

An interesting note from the Wall Street Journal shows a couple of news leaks that won’t factor into the conference, but might show the direction that Microsoft is leaning for future projects.

Xbox One vs PlayStation 4 – The battle rages on

Xbox One vs PlayStation 4When it comes to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles, the debate is right now more intense than ever before. We still see the console wars raging, but now there are fewer choices to battle it out. Old school gamers will remember the console wars in the 80’s and 90’s. It seemed there was a new device out every other month, and most of them flopped…hard.

I recently saw a post on Reddit about this fight. It showed the¬†Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as Voldemort and Harry Potter, tensely glaring at one another with wands drawn. Below then was an image of Luna Lovegood…as the Nintendo Wii. That pretty much sums up the console wars in a nutshell.

But the truth is, PlayStation 4 has managed to reach the top for the moment, as backlash against the Xbox One continues to increase.

Microsoft Xbox One Gaming ConsoleThis week marked the end of a difficult period for gaming enthusiasts as Microsoft finally decided it was time to officially announce the next-generation Xbox console. Although all rumours led to Xbox 720 name, they were all wrong. Microsoft next gaming console is called Xbox One.

Like everybody since PS3 and Xbox 360 release I was really curious to see how the next generation gaming consoles will be like. I kinda feel strange now, knowing that both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 were made official. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like those mind-blowing gaming innovations that we all expected are not here.

Just like it’s opponent Xbox One will feature an eight-core AMD Jaguar processor, clocked at 1.6 Ghz.
