Samsung Galaxy S III comes with a new design and a faster processor

Samsung Galaxy S IIIIn a fabulous event which took place in London earlier this week, Samsung unveiled one of the most expected smartphone of the year: Galaxy S III.

It’s loaded to the gills with all of Samsung’s goodies and it’s about as state of the art as you can get from this company. So far fans are practically knocking each other over for these phones and for good reason. First there was so much hype that people almost got to thinking the Galaxy S III could alter the course of the Earth.

Well to keep matters in perspective, the design of the Galaxy S III is just what the doctor ordered. It’s thin and sleek and brushed plastic. You can get it in the colors of Marble White or Pebble Blue.

You’ll see it has dimensions of 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm and a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED screen. A screen the fans say is just astonishing in color and performance. Actually it looks like a small pad. Just the screen alone is worth buying the Galaxy S III.

Rumour has it: Samsung Galaxy S III

Samsung Galaxy S III PrototypeSamsung did not launch the Galaxy S III at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona as was expected by many, but there have been rumors they will next month. While the company has downplayed these rumors, they have admitted it will be in the first half of this year closer to the availability of the Galaxy S III. Perhaps Samsung’s media event in Paris on 22nd March will be the magic date.

ZDNet Korea claims Samsung is planning itself known at the 2012 London Olympics, in April. However, Samsung has directly denied an April appearance of the Galaxy S III. They indicate it will be revealed closer to its availability date. However, it is clear Samsung is playing games with the public appetite for information and anticipation of the next gen Galaxy phones. They did promise to reveal the date at least once on Twitter already. Another rumored date was in May, without corroboration.

Regardless of the exact launch date, this is good marketing strategy. While the buzz has died out about devices paraded around at the MWC 2012, there is no end to the talk about Samsung’s Galaxy S III.
