We’re seing lately a lot of articles and recommandations about the latest Huawei smartphones: P20 Lite, P20 and P20 Pro. But do we really know what are the differences between Huawei’s P20 Lite, P20 and P20 Pro? Let us look at the specs of the P20 range of models below.
Huawei P20 Lite
Starting with the P20 Lite, this phone has a 2.36GHz + 1.7GHz octa-core Kirin 859 processor with 4GB of RAM. Internal storage is 64GB with an external storage capacity of up to 256GB via a microSD card. With the display, this is a 5.84-inch 1080 x 2280 IPS LCD.
The battery is 3000mAh; dimensions are 148.6 x 71.2 x 7.4 mm and the device weighs 145g. For the rear camera, this is a Dual 16MP + 2MP camera, and the front camera is 16MP. The P20 Lite comes with a fingerprint, facial recognition, nano sim and LTE cellular connections. An exciting addition to this smartphone is dual Bluetooth so that the P20 Lite can connect to two Bluetooth devices at once.
With the Huawei P20, the processor is an octa-core, 2360 MHz, ARM Cortex-A73 and ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bit with 4GB of RAM. Internal storage is 128GB with no external storage capabilities. Screen resolution is 1080 x 2244 pixels with a 5.8-inch IPS LCD.
The dimensions of the P20 are 149.1 x 70.8 x 7.65 mm, weighing 165g. The rear camera is a dual camera with 20MP and 12MP with a front facing camera with 24MP. Battery capacity is 3400mAh and USB Type-C charging. There is a fingerprint reader and Face Unlock facial recognition.
Huawei P20 Pro
For the P20 Pro, this comes with an octa-core 4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 Kirin 970 processor and Mali-G72 GPU. There is 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The display is a 6.1-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2240 pixels.
For the dimensions, these are 155 x 73.9 x 7.8 mm and the device weighs 180g. The rear camera is a triple camera with 40MP + 20MP + 8MP with Leica optics. The battery is 4000mAh with charging via USB Type-C and includes fast charging capabilities.
The most significant differences between the P20 models are the cameras. The P20 Pro is a fantastic camera that has a massive jump in specs to the P20 Lite and P20. Regarding size, the P20 Lite is the smallest, then the P20 and moving up to the P20 Pro. Battery sizes go up between the phones, but due to increasing processor size, the P20 and P20 Pro will need the extra power.
