LG is moving towards improving smartphones for content creation with the new LG V30 device. There has been a lot of thought put into this model with something exciting features popping up. Creating and watching high-quality video that other devices can’t is LG’s selling point with the V30.
LG V30 Specs
Starting with the specs, the chipset is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform. Memory is 4GB LDPPR4x RAM. Internal memory is 64GB for the standard V30 and 128GB for the V30+ with external memory MicroSD card capacity of 2TB. The display is a 6 inch 18:9 QuadHD+ OLED FullVision Display (2880 x 1440 with 538ppi). The dimensions of the smartphone are 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.3mm, and the weight is 158g. The battery is 3,300mAh.
A Camera for Creation
The camera on the V30 is a 16MP standard angle (F1.6/71°) or 13MP wide angle (F1.9/120°) rear dual camera and a 5MP wide angle (F2.2/90°) front camera. The front camera takes in in more light thanks to the F1.6 aperture to deliver brighter images. The lens is a Crystal-Clear Lens made from glass that reads colours better than a plastic lens for images with more clarity.
An updated video making app called Cine Video has Cine Effect and Point and Zoom features. Cinematic hues of movie genres are recreated on the V30 using Cine Video so users can create professional videos for their audience, family or friends. LG’s Cine Log keeps a wide dynamic range, allow for the log gamma curve to record video and has a big colour gamut.
Graphy is a feature on the camera’s manual mode that makes taking high-quality photos without having expert knowledge. Taking the presets of professional images, Graphys gives the user the ability to go beyond the standard click and shoot imagery.
Hear the world clearly
The audio on the V30 was designed with the help of B&O Play. The hardware is a Hi-Fi Quad DAC with filters to adjust the pre- and post-ringing of the impulse response of music. The headphones are also designed and tuned by B&) Play. Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology is utilised for high-resolution audio to be streamed. Recording quality has been enhancing with a speaker that doubles as a microphone.
