The CPU of the GPD Pocket is an Intel Atom x7-Z8750 Quad-core processor/Quad threading 1.6GHz; integrated Intel HD Graphics GPU processor; 8GB RAM; 128GB internal storage; 1920×1200, 7-inch Retina display with IPS technology; Active cooling; weighs 0.480kg; Corning Gorilla Glass protection; Comes with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or Windows 10 operating systems.

This gadget is aimed at people who work remotely and want to be able to work in small spaces. Freelancers, writers, programmers, coders and other professionals who move around a lot need an easy to carry a laptop. It measures 180x106x18.5mm – Tiny compared to other devices.

Good Battery Life and Good Looking

The battery life is decent at 12 hours using a 7000mAh Polymer Lithium battery. The GPD Pocket has an HDMI port, 1 USB Type-C 3.0 port, 1 USB Type-A port, 3.5mm headphone jack and supports Bluetooth and wireless.

The body is made from a CNC Craft Magnesium Alloy and is silvery in color. The design is like a MacBook with its minimalism and simplicity. The keyboard is a fully functioning QWERTY keyboard with trackpad.

The specs inside the GPD Pocket are impressive. Ubuntu is a good open source operating system that’s easy to use. Many of the same programs are available on Ubuntu, like Libre Office (With similar features to Microsoft Office), Chrome, Firefox, many music and media players, Steam and Android games. Installing is easy, click on the software center and browse through the options or search for something specific.

The Windows 10 version can run all the usual Windows apps and programs. Don’t worry about, you’re not missing out despite its size.
