Introducing Sony’s Newest Smartphone: Xperia sola

Sony Xperia SolaFor those of you who are Xperia fans, you’d be glad to know that the newest Xperia smartphone has been announced by Sony. The Xperia sola will feature Android and of course the well-constructed Sony technology. Among the newer features that this smartphone will offer its users are the Xperia SmartTags. These tags will make it even easier for consumers to add their own personal touch, because it enables them to make the changes in the settings and even apps in no time.

The Xperia sola will be released sometime before the end of June 2012 and consumers will be able to choose among red, black and white.

One of the many things that make the Xperia sola unique is the new and exclusive floating screen capability. This is definitely taking the touchscreen capability to the next level, or should we say the new floating screen because users will simply hover their finger over the screen and not actually have to touch it. Whenever it’s time to click a link or photo, users can tap it and it will load just like any other touchscreen device.

Without doubt, this new feature is being described as magic, simply because it will let the consumer move things without touching them. Sony is proud to present their newest Xperia™ device and they are sure that consumers will be happy to show off such a wonderful device. Not only does it offer the latest technology, but also easy access to entertainment and personalization.

Most of us – perhaps – are used to always switching profiles on our smartphones. If we go to bed, we make sure we turn on the alarm clock on the phone and place it on silent mode before we go to sleep. Well, Xperia sola takes this to the next level with the SmartTags that we mentioned earlier. For example, the phone already comes loaded with the ‘Living Room’ tag, where Wi-Fi is automatically turned on, and the ‘Bedroom’ tag, where the alarm clock is set and the phone placed in silent mode. Users will be able to load up to 10 commands, making it easier to switch around from one mode to the other.

  • 3.7” Reality Display
  • Access to Sony Entertainment Network
  • 1 GHz STE U8500 dual-core processor

Additional to this, the beautiful camera that is integrated in the Xperia sola sports a 5MP capability. This may not be as impressive as other smartphones, but it comes with 16x digital zoom as well as 2D and 3D Sweep Panorama™. You will also be able to record video, use the flash as light when recording, auto focus, Geotagging, red eye reduction, timer and face detection.

You can expect it to come loaded with the traditional apps for the new Google Play™ (previously Android Market), Google Maps, Twitter, Facebook, and Google Mail, among others.

  1. The battery is’nt sufficient to power the gadget for long. Moreover it looks like the other of its Xpreria series handsets.
