Windows 10 for PhonesMicrosoft is well known for releasing new software for preview prior to the full release. Windows 10 is no exception, and as they work towards full PC, phone and tablet integration, they have decided to do that release earlier than ever before. You can now preview the OS upgrade for your Windows based smartphone through their Windows Insider Program.

The blog post addressing the release make it pretty clear why they are launching the preview so soon. They are asking for feedback, so users can be with them “every step of the way”. This is a rather cautionary measure that isn’t surprising. There have been a number of stumbling blocks along the way with Windows (we all know the versions no one likes, Windows 8 included).
