Intel will buy McAfeeIntel announced Thursday in a press release that they are going to acquire McAfee, Inc, a well known security-antivirus company and this deal will cost them $7.68 billion. The deal was approved by both Intel and McAfee directors and is going to be official after the McAfee shareholder approval. RenĂ©e James Intel senior vice president, and general manager of the group said “this acquisition is consistent with our software and services strategy to deliver an outstanding computing experience in fast-growing business areas, especially around the move to wireless mobility.” Dave DeWalt, president and CEO of McAfee said “we believe this acquisition will result in our ability to deliver a safer, more secure and trusted Internet-enabled device experience.”
