Today’s new wonder is called Droid 2 and is an Android 2.2 ready mobile device with a 5 megapixel camera and 1 Ghz processor.
From the first encounter with this phone, you will discover a 3.7-inches TFT screen with 854 x 480 pixel resolution and 16M colors. Sensors(accelerometer and proximity), multi-touch and swype methods are supported.
On the right side of the phone are the volume rockers and the camera shutter key, while on the left is the microUSB port. Above, on the top side of the phone is the Lock/Close button while at the bottom is the microphone.
Like the first Droid, this one has a four row QWERTY keyboard and to unlock it, you have to slide the phone to the right. Different from the original Droid, Droid 2 have replaced the 5 way navigation key with four directional keys.
Talking about the internals the 1Ghz processor should be the king, but don’t have to forget that Motorola Droid 2 is one of the first mobile device that will come with Android 2.2(Froyo) installed.
Customers can also download favorite apps from Android Market™, which has more than 70,000 applications, and store them on 8 GB of preloaded on-board memory and the 8 GB microSD™ card, which can be upgraded to a 32 GB SD card for a total cargo capacity of 40 GB. Adobe Flash Player 10.1 lets mobile users experience millions of websites the way they were meant to be seen – with rich Internet applications (RIAs), content inside the browser, including games, animations, data presentations and visualizations, e-commerce, music, video, audio and more.
