Microsoft attempts to Reinvent its Platform and Mobile OS

MicrosoftNokia seemed to get a raw end of the deal with Microsoft, with the once popular mobile phone device now looking like disappearing. For Microsoft and its mobile Windows based operating system, it means a change of thinking and direction

A question, however, is how often does Microsoft need to reinvent the Windows Smartphone to get it right? A change in tact has been to release versions of popular and known software Microsoft Office on iOS and Android. Despite Windows opening up its products to different platforms, a big problem that Windows OS’s have is a lack of developer and app support. Microsoft can put their apps on to other iOS or Android, but customers don’t seem to want to use a Microsoft platform, except on the PC or laptop.

Satya Nadella Microsoft CEOMicrosoft CEO Satya Nadella has begun to backpedal so furiously on comments he made at the Grace Hopper Conference that he could produce his own form of green energy. The controversy was caused when he claimed women should not ask for raises, but instead trust karma to give them what they deserve.

It was a very unfortunate choice of words, given the pay gap in the US that has women routinely making 75% or less than male counterparts for the exact same positions. But it went a step further in being condescending.

Satya Nadella Microsoft CEOMicrosoft’s CEO Satya Nadella has released a new email to the employees at the company. In it, he talks about bold ambition, and the role it plays in the direction of the company.

According to the email, the earnings for the past sales quarter will be release on July 22. From there, a new direction might be on the horizon, which focuses on the results. Unfortunately, there are no clues about what that figure might be. But we know that last quarter showed of $20.4 billion.

Satya Nadella Microsoft CEOAfter months of waiting and speculation, Satya Nadella, rumored last week to have been the top pick for Microsoft’s CEO position, has been officially confirmed for the position. He hasn’t wasted any time, and the moment the announcement was made he emailed an introduction email to his new employees.

Many within the company would have already known the man personally, other by at least name or sight. Nadella has been working for Microsoft for more than twenty years, joining up in 1992. Since then he has been a part of several of departments, and headed others. Most recently, he was the vice president of the Cloud and Enterprise Department.

Microsoft may have finally found a CEO

MicrosoftReports are circulating the web that Microsoft, which has been struggling to find a replacement for outgoing CEO Steve Ballmer, may have finally made their choice.

Satya Nadella is allegedly poised to take the CEO position, but that isn’t all. He could also be taking Bill Gates place on the Board of Directors, another big surprise that hasn’t yet been confirmed.

The move to promote Nadella is an interesting one. So far, media reports have been focused on outside candidates that may have potentially been shortlisted for the job. But there had been no real speculation about in-company advancement.
