EverCam is a wireless security camera for your home or business. The main selling points of this device are its battery life, video quality and wireless capabilities. Installation is easy and quick plus it comes with an intuitive app for total control.
EverCam and the specs
With the specs, the video is shot in 1080p resolution, and battery life is one year. Human and facial recognition is there with a view angle of 140 degrees. There is night vision with the ability to see 33 feet into the distance, and the device is weatherproof with a rating of IP66. Fast charging is possible, and the information collected by the camera is encrypted on local storage. The local storage is a 16GB microSD card. An anti-theft alert is there, and the EverCam works with entry sensors.
The video format is an H.264 high profile with a Sony Exmor IMX323 ½.9-inch image sensor. There are digital pan and zoom; audio is through a speaker and microphone, the motion detector has adjustable sensitivity and automatic push notifications. The dimensions of the EverCam is 4.2 x 2.2 x 2.2 inches.
With the home base, this is fast ethernet capable and can connect to the internet via WiFi. There is an internal antenna and the A.I engine uses the Eufy A.I. engine. The backup battery is a 5200 mAh and charging output is 5V-2A/9V-2A USB with fast charging. With the speaker, this is 2W. The home base dimensions are 5 x 2.7 x 5.1 inches.
Easy use and installation
To install the EverCam, you have two mounts that are easy to install. One mount is magnetic, and the other is a screw mount. The magnetic mount is perfect for those who want to move their camera around while the screw mount keeps the camera in place for security.
With the facial recognition software, this aims to give you fewer false alarms and alerts on your phone. To be able to recognise faces, you register your family, friends and others who regularly visit your home so that the camera knows it is a person you trust or not.
One of the best features is that there are no added costs. Encrypted storage from other cameras is kept externally, meaning there will be a cost for cloud storage. Due to EverCam keeping the data encrypted and local, this cost is non-existent. So, what you pay at the start is all you pay.
EverCam is currently available on Kickstarter.
