The Phree is an interesting device that will probably be very useful to a lot of people. The Phree is a pen that can write on pretty much everything and input the data to a mobile device. So you can picture it, look at the armrest of your chair, get a pen and write.
Whatever you just wrote would be sent to you phone or tablet just like that. You could be at work, taking notes during a meeting without needing paper, at university and quickly want to jot down some advice without taking out your phone or laptop. If you need to get it written down right now, the Phree pretty much makes that possible via Bluetooth connection.
The Phree is compatible with phones, tablets, laptops, televisions and whatever else comes with Bluetooth connectivity. It is compatible with most popular applications, such as Office, OneNote, Evernote, Acrobat, Google Handwriting Keyboard, Viber and others. The features of the Phree include being able to make notes, numbers, drawing or whatever else without pulling out any other device, write messages or emojis in your handwriting, receive and reply to text messages on the Phree, write in multiple languages, use it as a Bluetooth headset or mouse. The Phree can be used to write in different colours, as a highlighter, and adds functionality to your phone.
Latency is almost instantaneous with the Phree, which makes it feel “right”. Writing is something we do from a young age, something we get used to and develop a feel for. Optical Translation Measurement (OTM) technology is designed by OTM technologies. The Phree converges needs with technology to make a device that is useful for a lot people and takes a lot into consideration. The screen is small, and gives enough information, as the user requires.
The Phree is 142mm in length, 18mm width, 8.5mm thick and weighs 30 grams. Colors will be changed as backers through Kickstarter give their opinions, and the device is currently available in black, graphite, silver and gold. A case is available as an optional extra, and the case converts into a stand for your phone or tablet. Developers are given an open API, and the developer pack comes with SDK and technical support. Partners are also sort after to develop the Phree for different areas in human interaction (Augment Reality, virtual reality, biometric identification, gaming, interactive TV and more.).
