Microsoft announced officially Windows Phone 7 last week and we saw with this occasion some of their features. Now is time to discover first WP 7 devices and HTC is the first producer to come with five different models. Each one of this has special options and target different kind of users. The winning names are: HD7, 7 Trophy, 7 Surround, 7 Pro and 7 Mozart. Each one of this phone suite comes with a 1Ghz processor and at least 448 Mb of RAM, so expect nothing more than speed from Windows Phone 7 devices. Other similarities are: GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, 3.5 mm jack, miniUSB port and the sensors(G-Sensor, Digital compass, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor).
HTC HD7 comes with an S-LCD 4.3-inches display, big enough to display videos and movies and supports 480 x 800 pixel resolution. On the back there’s a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash and also a kickstand which will force you to sit back and enjoy your media files. Memory has 512 Mb ROM and 576 Mb RAM, while the phone may come with 8/16 Gb as internal storage.
HTC 7 Trophy has an 3.8 inches S-LCD display and supports the same resolution as the previous model, 480 x 800 pixels. It’s an excellent phone for Xbox LIVE addicts because it’s powered by SRS WOW HD, which claims to take the sound experience to the next level. The camera has 5 megapixel, autofocus and a LED flash, while the Li-Ion battery has 1300 mAh. Memory has the same configuration as HD7 model(512 Mb ROM, 576 Mb RAM, 8 Gb internal memory).
As the name says HTC 7 Surround will give one of the best sound experience you’ve ever dream to have from a mobile phone. It has an unique slide-out speaker and an integrated kickstand with Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD. The camera has 5 megapixel, autofocus and LED flash, like the previous models, but the battery have 1230 mAh. Memory has changed a little the specifications: 448 Mb RAM, 512 Mb ROM and 16 Gb of storage.
Next is HTC 7 Pro turn, a full QWERTY Windows Phone 7 slider with an 3.6 inches S-LCD display. This is a phone build for business users, that need to use Office apps, text or send mails frequently. The camera has 5 megapixel, autofocus, LED flash and the Li-Ion battery gives you 1500 mAh. Memory is the same from HTC 7 Surrond, 448 Mb RAM, 512 Mb ROM and 8/16 Gb of storage.
The last, but not the worst is HTC 7 Mozart which features an unique aluminium design and the an awesome sound experience with Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD. This is the only HTC WP7 model that comes with an 8 megapixel camera, autofocus and XENON flash. The Li-Ion battery has 1300 mAh and the memory the following specifications: 512 Mb ROM, 576 Mb RAM and 8 Gb or storage.
All these five HTC devices(HD7, 7 Trophy, 7 Surround, 7 Pro and 7 Mozart) will be available from the end of October and the reports say they’ll cost around $199.99 with a 2-year contract..
