It’s summer, it’s hot and Nokia is releasing another XpressMusic model. It is called 5730 and features sliding QWERTY keyboard, Symbian, Wi-Fi and even N-gage support.

But let’s take it in order, the Display is a 2.4″ QVGA based one with 16 M colors, perfect to display pictures at high quality. Bellow the display is situated the usual keyboard along with the D-pad which are pretty soft and easy control.

On the left side of the display we find covered in plastic the standard player buttons, while on the top of it we discover the ambient light sensor and the videocall camera(QVGA).

The microUSB port and microSD card slot are situated on the left side of the phone covered both in plastic, while the right side features the camera shutter key and the volume rocker.

Sliding the phone on the left side will uncover the QWERTY keyboard. There are 4 rows containing large keys, easy to press and with a very ergonomic look.

Nokia 5730 comes with a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and Led flash and supports a maximum image resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. Also Gps with A-Gps support is available along with Nokia Maps application.

The web browser supports flash and java so there is not a single problem viewing sites or videos at a very good speed.

It seems like the summer doesn’t come alone, claims Nokia. The new 5630 XpressMusic model is more than we were used: the phone features Symbian, Wi-Fi and N-gage support.

The design is shine and light, Nokia created a 12 mm thick model having 112 x 46 and weighing just 83 grams.

The smartphone has a TFT display with 16 M colors and 2.2 inches. Near the display is situated the secondary VGA video-call camera and the ambient light sensor. On the left we find the usual Music buttons, while on the right side is the volume rocker and the shutter key.

On the back is the 3.2 megapixel camera with enhanced fixed focus and LED flash. It is also capable of shooting videos, but there are not so spectacular as you might think.

The new interesting thing at this model is the Symbian OS. Different from other XpressMusic models, 5630 comes with an 600 MHz processor and 256 Mb RAM memory.

Having Symbian as operating system it boosts more connectivity features: GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.00 and microUSB. It supports microSD cards to complete the 256 Mb internal memory, up to 16GB.

The gadget comes with a lot of applications meant to help your experience: flash/java Internet Browser, Organizer, Word, Excel, Power Point, Pdf viewer, Zip manager, Dictionary.

We didn’t forgot about the N-Gage support, but you will have to buy the games if you want to play or you can enjoy the installed ones on the trial period.

We can say the phone is interesting offering both XpressMusic features and Symbian ones. It is your choice to buy it or not, the estimated price is near 260$.

Although has been launched in November 2008, Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is a model I really want to review. Why? Because is a model that almost everybody afford it with basic features for a mobile phone.

- The phone comes with a TFT display of QVGA resolution having 2″ and 256k colors.
- The dimensions are 107.5 x 46.7, 14.8 mm thickness and weights just 88 grams.
- Supports microSD cards up to 16GB(and 1GB card is included)
5130 comes with a 2 megapixel camera with no flash or autofocus options.
- Best audio quality ever achieved by Nokia is on this phone.
- Connectivity Options available: GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth 2.00 and microUSB.
- The 1020 mAh Battery last close to 288 h in stand by, 6 h in talk time and 21 h in Music Play.

I took a shot and analyze top features available on this phone and as might observe this phone has some bad sides: no infrared, poor camera, no 3G connectivity option, no stereo loudspeakers .

For me, I say this phone is perfect as it offer me the option to talk, listen music and has a long battery life, because I don’t wanna carry a huge gadget that has-it-all and stays all day recharging.

The phone is available in stores since February 2009 with an estimated price near 120$.

Nokia announced a long time(October 2008)ago 5800 XpressMusic model. This model comes with TFT resistive touchscreen witch supports 16M colors and the size of the Display is 360 x 640 pixels. The internal memory is 81MB, but you can add to it a microSD card that supports up to 16GB. The Phone is equiped with a 3.15MP Camera with autofocus and Led flash that can shoot VGA at 30 frames per second. As usual it contain GPRS, Bluetooth, WLAN, USB, Radio, Internet Browser, GPS, Java Applications. His operating system is Symbian that holds the 369 Mhz processor with 128 Mb RAM pretty well.

His stereo speakers are able to output a surprising high volume, though the sound quality is best at half-volume. Sound quality is very good, though, as ever, you’ll need to replace the in-box headphones to make the most of it.

I say this is an interesting phone for those who can afford it. It’s say the battery last up to 406 hours in Stand-by and up to 8-9h in Talk-time. If you wanna use it in Music Mode don’t forget the battery will only last for up to 35hours. It can support media files such as MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC or MPEG4/WMV/3gp. I don’t wanna upload you with full details about this phone because you decide if you like it or not. Ah not to forget, the model comes with 2 colors Black or Silver.

What do you think, can this model break Apple’s iPhone?!
