The camera has 5 megapixel, autofocus, LED flash and Geo-tagging, the processor is a Qualcomm MSM7227 having 600MHz. Both phones come with Android 1.6 as running operating system and .

It’s hard to notice, but Mini Pro version is 0.7 cm longer, 0.2 cm thinner than Mini one and the QWERTY keyboard doesn’t make the phone look too big. Gps, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Radio FM, Wisepilot turn by turn or Timescape application are some of the features you’ll discover if you plan to buy one of this two phones.

Next models: Vivaz and Vivaz Pro.

You learn the trick, Vivaz is the classic model, while the Vivaz Pro is the same plus a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

They come with a 3.2-inches TFT touchscreen that has 16M colors. Vivaz Pro 4-rows QWERTY keyboard appears when  you slide the phone on the right side.

Vivaz is equipped with a 8.1 megapixel camera device while Vivaz Pro has a 5 megapixel one, but both phone cameras have 4x digital zooming, autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face and smile detection and also video recording(720p@24fps).

The operating system running on both devices is Symbian S60 5th edition and the processor have 720 MHz. Gps, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wisepilot, Tv-out, Radio FM, video streaming or 3D Games are some of the features or applications that will make you curious.

The last model we will talk about today is called Aspen.

After two Androids(X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro) and two Symbians(Vivaz and Vivaz Pro) is now the Windows turn to feature a Sony Ericsson phone.

Aspen has a 2.4-inches QVGA TFT touchscreen that has 16M colors. Under it, there is a full QWERTY keyboard, perfect for messages or browsing the Internet.

It has a 3.2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zooming and smart contrast. The phone has 100 Mb of internal memory, but supports microSD and the operating system is Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Professional.

Standard connectivity features are available on Aspen: Gps, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, microUSB. Phone will be  available in Q2 of 2010.

We don’t know yet any estimated prices of this phones.

The name of today’s model is Hazel, has been announced in December 2009 and will contain some interesting features.

As you probably observe in the left picture, the display screen is quite bit having 2.6-inches and supports 16M colors. The surface is scratch resistant and supports accelerometer sensor for UI rotate.

Under the display are the navigation keys which are centered by a D-pad and above is the earpiece and a secondary camera.Sliding the phone down will unveil it’s alphanumeric keypad with very solid and ergonomic buttons.

On the left side of the phone we find the standard Sony Ericsson connecting port which is the same thing with a microUSB and 3.5mm jack ones we find on other phones. The other side features the volume rockers and the camera shutter key.

At the back of the phone is the camera, a 5 megapixel device equipped with autofocus, LED flash and even 4x digital zoom. Video recording is available @30 fps as well as Geo-tagging and Smile detection.

If you remove the back cover you will find the microSD(supports up to 16GB memory)card slot and the 1000 mAh Li-Polymer battery which can last up to 450 hours in stand by mode.

Hazel offers decent connectivity features such as: GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP. Gps is available through A-Gps and supports Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation.

The phone comes with plenty applications that will fill your time and make your life easier. Google Maps, Social Networks apps(Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Youtube), AccuWeather, SensMe, Track ID, Media Player or a lot of 3D games are some of them. The installed web browser is NetFront 3.5 and comes with full support for standard protocols, images and video.

So whether you will choose it Superior Black or Passionate Rouge color versions, Sony Ericsson Hazel will be released in Q2 of 2010, but a price has not been announced yet.

The new phone comes with a 4-inches TFT touchscreen(scratch-resistant) with 262.000 colors and supports 480 x 854 pixels (WVGA). It’s not a small model, weighting 135 grams and having 13mm thickness. Battery is a standard one,  Li-Po 1500 mAh.

The camera is great, as we expected Sony put an 8.1 megapixel camera device with autofocus and LED flash. Other features available here: 16x digital zoom, intelligent face recognition, geo-tagging, smile detection, video recording.

Sony claims the phone will come with 1Gb internal memory and will support as operating system, Google™ Android Donut, version 1.6. For further extension of the internal memory, microSD card is supported. The processor is powerful having 1GHz-Qualcomm Snapdragon™ QSD8250.

Connectivity options available are various: GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, 3.5mm audio jack. Gps is available through A-Gps support and comes with Google Maps and Wisepilot(free trial version).

We announced in the beggining of the post various application so now we will extend and see what is all about.

Music section has Album art, Bluetooth stereo(through A2DP), Media Player, Music tones, PlayNow, TrackID.

Messaging comes with: Conversations, Email, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Picture messaging, SMS.

Entertainment features: 3D games, Media browser, Infinite button, Video streaming and viewing, Youtube.

Organizer put you in order with the Alarm clock, Calculator, Calendar, Office Suite, World Clock.

Other preloaded apps introduces by Sony Ericsson are: Timescape(Facebook, Twitter), Mediascape, Sync, Android Market Client, Gmail, Google Calendar+Maps+Talk+Voice, Network Location Provider.

It is said the phone will be available in Q1 of 2010 and it seems it will cost around £460.

Sony Ericsson C903 seems to be the perfect  phone for ladies: red, elegant, slider kind, advanced camera are the advantages that will count in your bag.

Display and Design

Phone comes with a 2.4″ QVGA display with 256K colors and supports accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate. Also the display is scratch resistant.

Under the display are the well known navigation keys and the D-pad, situated between Call and End keys.

When you slide the phone up, you will discover the alphanumeric keyboard which comes with thin metallic ridges between rows to ensure better navigation and orientation.

On the right side of the phone we will find the volume rocker and the shutter key while on the left side is the M2 card slot(supports up to 8GB) space and the loudspeaker grill. The top of the phone has no button and on the bottom we only find a small sliding switch which locks/unlocks the battery cover.

Camera

On the back of the gadget is the 5 megapixel camera, capable of shooting pictures with a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels even in low light conditions having the LED flash turned on.

The 5 megapixel camera comes with a lot of features: autofocus, smile shutter, face detection, image and video stabilizer, BestPic, auto-rotate, macro mode, spot metering, camera images geo-tagging, etc.

Videos are shoot @30 fps and in mp4 format.

Connectivity and Browsing

Connectivity offers plenty of features to enjoy: GPRS, 3G, Bluetooth and USB port. Gps is also available and you can use it with Google Maps or Wayfinder Navigator 7 and small things like location, traffic information or route planning won’t bother you from now on.

The C903 model use Access NetFront browser v3.4 as browser. You can use it in fullscreen mode with all features: zoom in/out, scroll up/down or even search on page. If you don’t like this browser you can use OperaMini.

Other features/applications

We could not finish the review without talking about the applications that run on this phone: Photo Mate, Pull Face, Rock Bobblehead, Slideshow Wall şi WalkMate. Also the girls have some special applications such us shopping or fitness ones.

The audio player is the usual one, but C903 also comes with FM radio with RDS and TrackID which help you to find on the internet database information about an artist, album, title or lyrics.

I dare to say the The Li-Po 1000 mAh standard battery can last up to 400h and only 10h in talk time,which is pretty decent for a phone.

Sony Ericsson C903 is available in stores since July 2009 at an estimated price near 400$.

As we discover in the left picture, the new Yari is a slider phone with a wonderful design and having just 15.7 mm thick and weighing 115 grams.

The display is an TFT on with 256K colors and a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels featuring the well known accelometer sensor. On the back we discover the 5 megapixel camera equipped with LED flash, autofocus and capable of Geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilizer. This camera also shoot QVGA videos @30fps. Near the camera are situated the stereo speakers.

On the right side you will discover the volume rocker, the camera key and under a small plastic lid, the microSD card slot(supports up to 16GB).

Sony Ericsson Yari has Gprs, 3G, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GPS receiver with A-GPS support and microUSB port as connectivity features. The Gps receiver uses Tracker, Google Maps and Wayfinder Navigator as installed applications.

Now we want to discuss again about the camera main feature:  motion gaming. It is basically close to Nintendo Wii experience, but it is done with an optical tracker. The 5 megapixel camera use the movements you make with the phone in your hand and translates them into the virtual game.

Yari comes with the latest NetFront 3.5 web browser and flash support perfect for your Internet experience. You can zoom, search, mark and copy inside a web page.

At the end of the review, we say that Sony Ericsson Yari will be launched  at the end of 2009, but the price of the unit hasn’t been disclosed.

As you see the gadget is in silver color and have a QWERTY slide keyboard. The high quality WVGA display is very big, having 3.5 inches.

The model hasn’t been officially announced, but from these screens we know that it will come with Windows Mobile 6.5 and the processor is an Qualcomm MSM7200 having 528Mb.

It is also rummored the phone will have an 8 megapixel camera with auto focus shooter and a LED flash. As connectivity feature we know that 3G and HSDPA will be supported.

Satio or Idou model come with an TFT touchscreen, 16M colors and a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels or 3.5 “. The stunning display offers incredible pictures/videos quality also excellent brightness and contrast.

As we said the 12 megapixel camera features: autofocus, xenon flash, video LED flash,Touch focus, geo-tagging, face and smile detection. Despite the fact that his direct rival, Samsung Omnia HD shoot videos in HD format, Satio model takes videos in VGA format @30 frames per second.

Connectivity options are a lot as we expected: GPRS, EDGE, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.00 and USB 2.0 port.

The brain of the gadget is an ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz processor; 3D Graphics HW Accelerator and runs the Symbian Series 60, 5th edition as Operating System. It comes with 128 Mb internal memory and an included microSD card of 8 Gb .

To complete the specifications of Idou, we can say it weights 126 g, is 13 mm thick and have an Li-Po battery with 1000 mAh.

Now let’s talk a little about Sony Ericsson Idou Symbian applications.  It contains Media center, Image gallery, Walkman player, Video player, Google maps, Web Browser with Flash support.

As final words we can say the smartphone is scheduled to be released later this autumn and we don’t know yet the estimative price.
