Today it is the time to present you one of the most expected mobile phone this year: Apple iPhone 3GS. There are a lot of things to discover, so our hopes are to catch them all in this review.

When Apple announce it, the main word describing it was Speed, maybe this is the reason for 3GS name. The new iPhone is equipped with a 600Mhz ARM Cortex A8 processor and have 256Mb RAM internal memory. Along with speed, the smartphone comes with the latest 3.0 iPhone OS and his 100 new features.

Display

The display is the same from the previous model, 3G. It has 3.5-inch widescreen Multi-Touch display with 480-by-320-pixel resolution at 163 ppi and it is very resistant(check youtube if you don’t believe).

Camera

The new phone comes with an improved 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording @30 fps. Whenever you want to use the camera, you tap with your finger to do desired operations: tap where you want to focus or for taking the picture, double-tap for zoom in/out. When you rotate the phone, you will be able to take pictures in landscape or shoot videos in portrait/widescreen(if you use video recording). Videos can easily be edited with your finger of course, dragging the start and the end of the recording.

Maps and Compass

3GS comes with GPS and built in-compass so now it is almost impossible to loose your orientation. You will use Google Maps every time you need to go to a new location, find out traffic info or discover you current location. Along with the maps, in Google application you will discover a digital Compass which will help you to see the exact GPS coordinates along with the option to toggle between true North and magnetic North.

Voice Control

With the new Voice Control you are able to make calls, choose songs and so on. You just have to hold the Home button and than iPhone recognize your language and choose what to do next. How could be easier than this?

Keyboard and Messages

The 3.0 version of iPhone O.S brings another cool feature. The intelligent keyboard is now available also when you rotate the phone and switches to a larger one in landscape mode. You can write SMS, MMS with your own finger with characters from your own language and if wanted with word prediction.

Web Experience

Safari, one of the fastest mobile browser is the one that iPhone 3GS uses. You will get the best Internet experience as long as you can zoom in/out, bookmark and view in landscape all your favorite pages. If you want to use e-mail, there is no problem, iPhone works with popular MobileMe, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, Aol without no problem. You can even download the attachments that contain pdf, doc, ppt, xls, jpg extensions.

Ipod feature could not let us down even here. The 3.5-inch Multi-Touch display is perfect to display your videos and scroll through your favorite songs as you were used to in Apple devices.

Another cool feature is the cut, copy and paste one. With a simple tap you can select and paste words, images, videos from the web or just from your phone. If you make any mistake, just shake the phone and the action will undo.

Connectivity steps in with following options: GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0. The battery is an built-in rechargeable lithium-ion one that can last over 12 hours in talk time, 300 hours in stand by mode, 9 hours on Internet use and from 10 to 30 hours when using video or audio playback.

The phone was released this June in USA and will be released in July for the rest of the world having 2 colors (black or white) and 2 versions. The estimated price for the 16GB model is 199$ and for the 32GB one-299$ on AT&T contract.

Thank you Apple!

It is called Nokia N86 and have 8 megapixel camera. Sounds interesting? Let’s see…

In February this year, Nokia announced this new phone, N86, a phone that I think will overcome N95 success. It is supposed to be released on the market Q2 this year.

The impressive phone comes with AMOLED display and 16 M colors having a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. On the back of the model we find the 8 megapixel camera with 28mm Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus, 20x digital zoom and dual LED flash, which takes a step closer to a photo-camera-features. It is capable of video recording at up to 640 x 480 (VGA) and up to 30 fps and have a 8x digital video zoom. Also a VGA camera is on the upper side of the display, helping you to make video-calls.

It comes with an integrated memory of 8GB and a support for microSD card, up to 16GB so you won’t experience any lack of space with this model.

Talking about connectivity options that N86 offers, I can say it’s another imposing way: GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, 3G, W-Lan with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.00 and microUSB are just the ones you’ll need it.

As you expected Nokia has enough applications to fulfill your dreams: Java, Adobe Flash Lite 3.1, Windows Live support, Nokia Web Browser with Mini Map,Quickoffice (Quickword, Quickpoint, Quicksheet), Adobe Reader, Zip Manager, Nokia N-Gage™, Nokia Photos, Nokia Download!, Nokia Mobile search are just some of them. If you wish to add another applications check out the S60 site.

All these cool features must have a brain and on N86 model is an ARM 11 434 MHz processor witch runs S60 3rd edition, feature pack 2.

Browsing the Internet with this smartphone could not be real and easier as it supports: HTML, XHTML MP, WML, CSS. As for the GPS, Nokia comes with Nokia Maps application which have compass.

The phone weight just 149grams and have a thickness of 16.5mm. It comes with a BL-5K 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery that provide us the following timings: 312 hours stand by, 6hours and 20 minutes in talk time or up to 25 hours in Music mode.

As we expected Nokia provide us an very good (smart)phone with “unlimited” features and I guess the price will be near 400 euro, but will worth it.

Although has been launched in November 2008, Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is a model I really want to review. Why? Because is a model that almost everybody afford it with basic features for a mobile phone.

- The phone comes with a TFT display of QVGA resolution having 2″ and 256k colors.
- The dimensions are 107.5 x 46.7, 14.8 mm thickness and weights just 88 grams.
- Supports microSD cards up to 16GB(and 1GB card is included)
5130 comes with a 2 megapixel camera with no flash or autofocus options.
- Best audio quality ever achieved by Nokia is on this phone.
- Connectivity Options available: GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth 2.00 and microUSB.
- The 1020 mAh Battery last close to 288 h in stand by, 6 h in talk time and 21 h in Music Play.

I took a shot and analyze top features available on this phone and as might observe this phone has some bad sides: no infrared, poor camera, no 3G connectivity option, no stereo loudspeakers .

For me, I say this phone is perfect as it offer me the option to talk, listen music and has a long battery life, because I don’t wanna carry a huge gadget that has-it-all and stays all day recharging.

The phone is available in stores since February 2009 with an estimated price near 120$.

users to check and see reviews about it. As Apple used us there are a lot of surprises(100 new features) and a lot of cool things about thie new “wonder”. So let’s start it!

This update will be released during this summer for iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS models.

First of all my favorite new feature is the landscape keyboard which now can be used in all applications.

Stereo Bluetooth is present as this version same as it was on 3G one, but not on the classic one(sorry), so you can where your iPhone and listen to music without wires.

Text messages can now be deleted in a chat thread and for the multimedia users I have a bad news, this version will also not support MMS, as previous ones.

One cool feature is the Gps Real-time turn-by-turn directions, but you can’t use Google Maps as you inflict license problems so you will be forced to use developers maps.

Advanced Search is now possible with a single with a single swipe of a finger from left to right in the main menu. Is a cool feature because you search through all phone.

Peer to peer networking is activated through Bluetooth to connect 2 users together, that can play or use same applications each time.

There are other good features such as: voice memo, stocks(market), flash support, In-app purchases, native voice dialing and so on.

I presented here some of the new features of this 3.0 version Software, but Apple say that there are more to come as soon as this version hits the market…

We will discover this together next months.

If yesterday we talked a little about 5800 XpressMusic, today is the time to spend some time and find out about new Nokia E75 model.

From the beginning let’s say this smartphone has a sliding QWERTY equipped with Symbian S60 software and uses a

369 MHz processor. His display is a TFT based one with 16M colors and having the size of 240 x 320 pixels, very common these days I dare to say.
A nice thing we can see at this phone is the NaviTMKey which will make easier and simple the navigation through the menu.

The stereo headset and a 4 GB MicroSD™ memory card is included now in the box as well as the usual charger and the battery, a battery that is not as good as you expected.

Now talking about Connectivity devices, this smartphone has almost all of them. It has Wi-Fi, GPRS, HSDPA and it say that you get a pretty speedy connection at internet.

The internet pages viewed through E75 looks similar as the ones visited from pc or from usual browsers, because the browser from this model supports HTML, XHTML, WML and CSS. GPS technology is also present here and has included Nokia Maps as well as Bluetooth or USB.

The 3.2 megapixel camera comes with 8x digital zoom, autofocus and LED flash, but I think it won’t impress you too much.

Music and Video files have a very good audio quality comparing with other Nokia releases and can play usual media files such as MP3, AAC, eAAC+ or WMA or MP4, 3GP and so on with Real Player or the Music Player, is your own choice.

Now let’s talk a little about his applications. What more applications do you want as soon as new Nokia E75 includes Java, Flash Lite, Nokia browser, Dictionary, Quickoffice, PDF Viewer, ZIP Manager, Mini Map, Nokia Download, File Manger, Nokia Search, No

kia Maps. To complete the application section let’s say that for Gaming maniacs it has N-Gage application included.

In stores you can find this model on 2 types of colors: Red or Silver/Black. On Nokia site the price of this model is £379.00, so this phone is not for everybody, but if you have the money I say go for it.

source
