BlackBerry has released a new phone called Storm 2 and today we will offer you some details about his specifications.

The smartphone is made with Verizon and is designed(let’s say) for the touchscreen social users.

Phone comes with a nice 3.25-inches display having a resolution of 360×480 and just 65K colors. The display is quite big, phone has 160 grams and is 13.9 mm thicker, but you’ll get used with it as it’s touchscreen based. A major difference spotted here are the 4-buttons which now there are incorporated into the touchscreen display.

The back camera has 3.2 megapixel and has autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging and image stabilization. It also supports IS 2X digital zoom and Video Capture and video recording.

The operating system that runs on Storm 2 is BlackBerry 5.0 OS one and the RAM memory has 256Mb. The internal memory has 2 Gb, but the phone comes also with a 16Gb microSD card attached in the packet. As interesting features available we can mention: copy and paste(same as iPhone), Domestic/International Voice, Messaging & Email Service (Global SIM pre–installed). We don’t know nothing yet about the model or the speed of his processor.

Connectivity offers many options to help you: GPRS, 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, microUSB, 3.5 mm Stereo Headset . The battery is a Lithium Ion Battery (1400 mAh) and offers up to 270 hours in stand by mode.

Phone seem nice and solid, but we can’t give you a final opinion until we take a look of everything it can do. You will find it available in stores since this November with an estimated price of 270$.

The phone has an 320 x 240 pixels display and a 2.0 megapixel camera on the back with 5x digital zoom, but with no flash. Just under the display we see an optical trackball that we will make our lives easier from now on and at the top of this phone you will see the media player buttons. Ah, don’t forget to use the optical trackball when you browse on the Internet.

The smartphone have an internal memory of 256 Mb, but also support microSD card if you intend to extend it further.

If you plan to have all connectivity options you’ve ever dreamed of Gemini model is not the one, as 3G feature is missing. But don’t panic the phone still supports Wi-Fi, Gps, Bluetooth technology and microUSB port.

The battery have 1150mAh which is an improve comparing with other Blackberries and it’s supposed to last 4hours in talk mode or 17 days in stand by mode. The gadget weights 106 grams, including the battery and have the following dimensions: 109mm x 60 mm x 13.90 mm.

With a new look, more round and stylish the new 8520 BlackBerry will target the low-end market, so we expect to see it soon in our pockets.
