BlackBerry announced PlayBook as their Tablet

BlackBerry PlayBook TabletToday at BlackBerry Developer Conference (DevCon), RIM announced through their CEO, Mike Laziridis their first tablet: BlackBerry PlayBook. During the keynote the RIM CEO featured some of the tablet features: 7-inches LCD, BlackBerry Tablet OS, 1Ghz dual core processor, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1. Another great thing is the support for Adobe Air and Flash. BlackBerry PlayBook tablet is expected to be available in Q2 of 2011. Nokia E7 Smartphone will be released at the end of 2010

Nokia E7After HTC event hosted at London, this month, now is Nokia time to host their annual Nokia World event. During Nokia World 2010 we were able to see some of the phones that are scheduled to be released next months as well as Symbian^3 OS.

Today we will talk about Nokia E7, a device that the Finnish mobile producer it’s going to release it soon, this year. It will target Business Smartphone market and is expected to have a high price.

From the beginning, we can observe that E7 borrowed with success some design elements from N8 smartphone that will be available soon.

The AMOLED screen, bigger than the one from N8, has 4-inches and supports 640 x 360 pixel resolution. It supports multi-touch and features bunch of usual sensors: proximity, accelerometer, compass, ambient light detector and also a secondary VGA video call camera (640 x 480 pixels). Sliding the phone to the right side will unveil a full QWERTY keyboard that is finally well designed and with rubber buttons as everybody demanded. +Continue Reading

HTC announced Desire HD and Desire Z at London

HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire ZHTC hosted a big event this week at London and with this occasion they announced their latest mobile releases: Desire HD and Desire Z. Both phones are Android 2.2 ready and come with HTC Sense UI.

Desire HD has almost the same specifications like Evo, but comes with a lower price and is a little bit larger. It features a 4.3 inches touchscreen display that has 16M colors and a 480 x 800 WVGA resolution. On the other side, Desire Z has a 3.7 inches touchscreen display, 16M colors and the same 480 x 800 WVGA resolution. Both phones have plenty of sensors: G-Sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. The big difference is at design: Desire HD is a touch phone only, while Desire Z is touch phone with QWERTY keyboard. +Continue Reading

Fight: Samsung Galaxy Tablet vs. Apple iPad

Samsung Galaxy Tab vs. Apple iPadAnnounced just two weeks ago at Berlin, Galaxy Tab is the first tablet released by Samsung and promises to be a tough enemy for Apple iPad. Today we will compare the specs of the tablets and you will choose who deserves to be bought. Fight!

From the beginning we have to say that Galaxy Tab is smaller than Apple one(9.7-inch), having just 7-inch TFT display. The screen resolution is also smaller, 1024 x 600 comparing with 1024 x 768 for the iPad, but this is not something you will notice. Smaller dimensions take effects on the weight of Samsung Tab, which is lighter, having 380 grams(iPad has 680 grams). +Continue Reading
