Phone Networks go Green slashing Energy usage

Phone Networks go GreenMobile phone networks along with land-line networks are working on plans to cut energy usage by a massive amount; in fact plans are afoot to reduce energy consumption to one ten thousandth of what it is today. Before they will decide to go green, visit Phones4u site today and check out the hottest new mobile releases.

To cut energy to one ten thousandth of current consumption might seem to be an impossible target, but according to a group of experts working on this challenge it is a realistic target. All that it needs are improved and more intelligent data coding techniques.

The group of researchers who are investigating this is called “Green Touch” and far from being a group of cranks, the group is being coordinated by the world leading Bell Research Laboratories in Murray hill, New Jersey USA. This is the very place where the transistor was invented, not to mention the laser. +Continue Reading

The first Mobile Phone Ever

Old Mobile PhoneThe first documented use of the mobile phone was in 1922, the event was recorded on film and the film clip has turned up during the search of an old film archive by British Pathe.

The film which ironically is silent shows two women walking along a street in an American city. They are carrying a large wooden box of which the top flips open to reveal a phone. They take a wire from the phone and connect it to a fire hydrant. It is assumed that this provides the radio phone with a ground connection as was necessary in the old analogue radios.

They then erect an umbrella around which is would another wire. We assume that this is an aerial. They then initiate a phone conversation with a telephone operator. +Continue Reading

Proof: iPhone 4 has antenna problems

iPhone 4 Antenna IssueA big issue hits every iPhone 4 owner this period: signal strength. Most of the experts(except Apple ones) claim that this is caused by the magnetic band. How this happens? We’ll give you some proofs.

Reports say that when you hold iPhone 4 in your left hand, you will experience signal loss problem. On the left side of the phone is a little space in the magnetic band and when this is covered the strength of the signal is weakened or lost.

Further more, a conversation between an Apple user and Steve Jobs was these days discussed and featured all over the Internet. The user told Steve that Apple should be ashamed by the signal performance of iPhone 4. Users mock about it, saying that it’s impossible to make a call without dropping. Steve replied arrogantly, telling the user to “calm down”, “relax”, this is happening only in weak signal areas and Apple is working to solve this small issue soon. +Continue Reading

Microsoft Kin will not be shipped this fall in Europe

Microsoft Kin One and Two

Harsh news for social addict guys: It seams that Microsoft Kin phones(One and Two) will not be shipped this fall in Europe. We don’t know yet if this means the end of Kin project, but this will be a loss almost surely for Microsoft and his customers. Meanwhile, in US, Microsoft will continue to sell the phone through Verizon and support customers.

“We have made the decision to focus exclusively on Windows Phone 7 and we will not ship KIN in Europe this fall as planned. Additionally, we are integrating our KIN team with the Windows Phone 7 team, incorporating valuable ideas and technologies from KIN into future Windows Phone releases. We will continue to work with Verizon in the U.S. to sell current KIN phones.”
