Apple makes a move and release iPad

Apple iPadHello folks again, we present today a new concept for our site as we want to take a look towards the Tablet announced by Apple.

No wonder, the beginning of 2010 was captured by the released of the first Google phone called Nexus One. It is Apple turn now to capture our view and come with first tablet called iPad.

The new wonder has been presented by Apple CEO,  Steve Jobs at the Apple Special Event which took place in San Francisco on 27 January 2010.

Steve begin the presentation with some updates about the Apple company and then took us to the expected release of the iPad.

He claims that the iPad is a necessary device these days because is something between a phone and a laptop, but not a netbook. Netbooks are slow and use PC software, but a tablet should be fast at browsing, email, photos, music, video, games, ebooks. +Continue Reading

Windows 7 Taskbar features

Windows 7 FeaturesLaunched last year in October, Windows 7 claims to be the most stable version of Windows after 98 or XP. We learned that it comes in 3 different version: Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate and we saw what is the difference between them. We also learned, from our first post that Windows 7 system requirements aren’t so high as Vista was: 1/2Gb RAM and an 1 Ghz processor should do it. Since it’s been enough time to test this new operating system, today we discuss about the Taskbar.

Before talking about the new Taskbar, we want to speak a little about boot time in Windows 7. After we first open the computer, this is the phase when the PC loads it’s bios and then starts to boot the operating system that is installed on the hard drive. We discovered and we can confirm the fact that a system boots up faster when Windows 7 is installed. Is something close with what we all experienced at the first days after we installed XP and the system wasn’t load with  programs. It’s useless to compare it with Vista boot up time, because we all know it took more than 30 seconds to finish. +Continue Reading

Inside Sony Ericsson Hazel

Sony Ericsson HazelIt’s been quite a time since we last saw a Sony Ericsson review and last model, Xperia X10 was a name that took us by surprise.

The name of today’s model is Hazel, has been announced in December 2009 and will contain some interesting features.

As you probably observe in the left picture, the display screen is quite bit having 2.6-inches and supports 16M colors. The surface is scratch resistant and supports accelerometer sensor for UI rotate.

Under the display are the navigation keys which are centered by a D-pad and above is the earpiece and a secondary camera.Sliding the phone down will unveil it’s alphanumeric keypad with very solid and ergonomic buttons.

On the left side of the phone we find the standard Sony Ericsson connecting port which is the same thing with a microUSB and 3.5mm jack ones we find on other phones. The other side features the volume rockers and the camera shutter key. +Continue Reading

Nokia 5230 is a nice phone

Nokia 5230We surfed the Internet today and found an interesting mobile phone that Nokia just released at the end of 2009. Nokia 5230 is the name of the device that looks like 5800 XpressMusic, but lacks some of it’s key features.

Just like his twin brother, 5230 has a TFT resistive touchscreen with 16M colors and supports a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. It also seems that the 3.2-inches display does not support handwriting anymore on this model.

There are 2 sensors above the display-ambient and proximity ones plus the media key and of course, an earpiece. Under the display we find 3 buttons: Call, Menu and End Call ones.

Top side of the phone is the place we will discover: usual power key, the 3.5mm audio jack and an microUSB port. The 1320 mAh battery(situated under the back cover) is also charged through a hole which is on this side of the phone. +Continue Reading

LG GW300, a QWERTY way

Lg GW300Announced last year in August, GW300 is a new concept made by LG electronics and a new way to capture these days market.

It may seem to look like a BlackBerry, but it isn’t because the phone lacks 3G, Wi-Fi and doesn’t offer other social networks than Facebook.

Weighting 95 grams the phone comes with a display having 256.000 colors and 2.4-inches, still this is not the main feature(we think).

The QWERTY keyboard is a must these days and as many mobile phone producers LG saw an income chance. This GW300 model comes with a 4 row keyboard similar to a BlackBerry phone.

Between the Display and the QWERTY keyboard there are 6 buttons(including Call and End Call) and the D-pad.

On the right side of the phone is situated the camera shutter key while on the left we find the volume keys and the microSD card slot(supports up to 16GB). Both side buttons are protected and covered by a plastic lid. At the top of the phone there’s a 3.5 mm and microUSB port.

A 2 megapixel camera is on the back of the phone, but is unimpressive without flash and autofocus. Also on the back, under the case is the 900mAh battery which will hold you up 5 h in talk time and up to 400 h in standby time.

We can’t make much noise about connectivity features, because the phone offers you just GPRS, Bluetooth 2.1. Radio FM is available, messaging seems nice and simple, but the phone will not exceed user expectations.

LG GW300 is available worldwide since October 2009 at an estimated price of $130.

Google Nexus One is available and official now

Google Nexus OneIs 2010 and the first post of this year so we hope once again for a better year for everybody. Happy Birthday 2010!

Probably one important event which captures our attention in the beginning of the year is the release of Google first mobile phone, called Nexus One. You remember that next year we’ve analyzed some of the coolest gadgets including iPhone, Motorola Droid, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and so on, but this new phone just made official by Google will be on 2010 newspapers and blogs. These days Google made this rumour official on their website all specifications and features of the phone, including an order page in case you want to buy it (who doesn’t?). We will offer you an update…let’s say a review made with official specs.

The Android phone comes with a 3.7-inches touchscreen display and supports 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Google claims the contrast rate is 100,000:1 and the response rate-1ms. As main features we remember the accelerometer and digital compass.

Phone seems thinner, but a little longer than than iPhone having: 119 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm. It weights 135 grams with the included battery. By the way, the battery has 1400mAH one capable of lasting 10 hours in talk time or 290 hours in standby mode.
